Peter James will do everything he can to get the best variety of photos possible, but it is up to you to let him know if there is anything specific you want him to focus on, or not focus on. At the reception you can feel free to request that he take any photos you like. However, before and during the wedding, you will have very little time to direct him, so it is important that you plan in advance.
Peter James has successfully photographed weddings with less than 3 hours notice, never having met the couple in advance. However, the couple’s specific desires and goals will be best met with some simple pre-planning.
